Mutagen. It\u2019s the element that transformed four\u00a0small turtles into the iconic, Foot Clan-fighting Heroes in a Half Shell. The oozy green goop is the perfect Halloween prop piece for your party spread, but would you ever guess that it makes a good snack? That\u2019s right, you can munch on mutagen! Don\u2019t fret, dudes. There will be no nibbling on yucky sewer sludge.\u00a0Instead,\u00a0serve up some\u00a0yummy, mouthwatering guacamole. It\u2019s an awesome alternative to Halloween candy that\u2019s all treat and no trick.<\/p>\n

How do you make mutagen even better<\/em>? Serve it in a cool DIY canister! Presentation is everything, dudes.<\/p>\n

What You’ll Need<\/strong><\/p>\n

Printable templates (print below!)<\/strong>
\nCereal box
\nSilver paint (acrylic or spray)
\nSmart Water bottle, 23.7 oz size (2.75″ in diameter)
\nPeanut butter
\nDishwashing detergent
\nScissors
\nExacto knife
\nGlue
\nTape (Optional)<\/p>\n

How to Make<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1:\u00a0<\/strong>Trace the template onto the inside of the cereal box. Use a box from General Mill\u2019s TMNT cereal for extra Turtle Power!<\/p>\n

Step 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Cut out the template\u00a0with scissors and score all the folding lines and tabs with an Exacto knife, then glue\u00a0together. Reinforce with tape on the inside.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> Use acrylic paint or\u00a0spray paint to make\u00a0the hexagon silver. Allow to dry completely.<\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong> To prepare the bottle,\u00a0slowly peel off the label and rub the label glue residue with peanut butter. Yes, this\u00a0handy hack actually works! Leave peanut butter\u00a0on for 15 minutes and wash off with hot soapy water (dish detergent will do).<\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/strong> Cut off the top of the bottle. Use a Smart Water bottle with a base of 2.75\u201d in diameter for best results.<\/p>\n

Step 6:<\/strong> Attach one\u00a0hex to the bottom of the bottle. Let the mutation begin and fill with guacamole! Attach the second\u00a0hex to the top.<\/p>\n
